GeoDEV seminars
GeoDEV seminars – Journées GeoDEV – take the form of workshops, conferences and side events held during French or international meetings on Earth observation.
The seminars help participants jointly identify actions for improving access to data; boost skills and capacities; and develop uses and applications for scientific research, public policy and regional management.
Preparing for and holding these discussion days mobilises members of the organising partner institutions: IRD (UMR Espace-Dev), CIRAD (UMR Tetis) and CNES (DIA).
The seminars are organised in the context of (pre-existing or pending) partnerships between scientific communities and institutional user communities in the global north and south. They draw on the cooperation networks of scientific bodies, embassies, international institutions and donors. They offer a project approach based on the Earth observation application requirements expressed by researchers or regional development actors.
