Partnerships and collaborations

The following all contribute to the network: research units or laboratories, national agencies, public institutions, universities, government services, local governments, and institutional and technical bodies involved in Earth observation applications in the global north or south.

The nature of the partnerships varies depending on the activities: collaboration as part of common or joint projects; implementing scientific and technical cooperation agreements; managing consortia for delivering projects; sponsoring scientific or institutional events; and contributing to teaching or training programmes.

As well as connecting partners, ART proposes, leads and facilitates projects; organises seminars and meetings; publishes news and distributes newsletters; provides a special website area for uploading and downloading shared documents; and hosts private areas for project documents.

All Theia actors and partners in the global south are invited to contribute to every aspect of the network by sending in suggested items of news and documents of interest to be shared, together with proposals and initiatives for collaborative work based on mutual goals.

The partner interface and promotion of knowledge transfer activities within Theia is managed by the Espace-DEV UMR (Joint Research Unit) for IRD; the Tetis UMR for CIRAD; and DIA for CNES.

THE NETWORK IS OPEN TO ALL TYPES OF COLLABORATION THAT FALL WITHIN THEIA’S AREAS OF ACTIVITY.
